Creating flowers for my own wedding was a dream come true, but I still make time to freelance because I love working as part of a team, learning new techniques, and taking on dream briefs. It allows me to explore different styles and work in some of my favourite venues, meaning I understand the ins and outs of how the venue and team operate. This experience helps me craft romantic, wild wedding flowers that embrace colour and individuality. So, here’s a look back at some of my favourite 2024 floral freelance moments.
One frosty January morning, I had the joy of working at Kin House with Femme Pétale on their stunning venue flowers. We created bright pastel floral arrangements in Kin House’s Garden House, crafting breathtaking floral plinth arrangements and lining the aisle with meadows. The reception area was transformed with modern ikebana-style arrangements, delicate bud vases, and a beautifully encircled cake adorned with cake meadows. Kin House is a truly spectacular venue, and I would love to create a dreamy, bright, colour-blocked spring bouquet there. The space lends itself perfectly to wedding flowers at Kin House, offering a picturesque setting for vibrant floral designs.

This venue has been a long-time favourite of mine and also featured in my 2023 highlights. Anthology Farm, a luxury homestay venue, is beautifully interior-designed and surrounded by private, sprawling fields, making it an exclusive and personal space. Being a dry-hire venue, it attracts fun, creative couples looking to put their unique spin on their wedding day.
I worked alongside Amy Carlile Flowers to create striking vase arrangements on plinths. These colourful floral designs were bursting with vibrancy, with the aisle lined with my favourite earthenware bud vases. We also embraced colour blocking, using sweet peas, foxtail lilies, and cornflowers to create an exquisite palette. A memorable highlight was meeting the YouTube groom, who even recognised my fiancé from his channel! The couple added so many personalised touches, from homemade pizza socks with custom labels to the groom crafting the rings and the bride sewing her own wedding dress. I love working at Anthology Farm near Cheltenham, and I cannot wait to create more unique and colourful wedding flowers there.
The Mount Without, Bristol

I have always been in awe of The Mount Without, having first visited for a meditation class. This incredible venue, with its grand scale and stunning architectural features, immediately captivated me. I was thrilled to finally create wedding flowers here in May 2024 with Femme Petale. Bringing punchy, bright florals into this space was an absolute dream. I love unique venues that have character on their own but can also beautifully showcase a range of floral styles—a common theme across all my favourite locations.

Elmore Court was a highlight of my 2024 floral journey, where I had the privilege of working with Lucy Charlotte Florals throughout the seasons. From spring to autumn and finally at Christmas, I contributed to numerous breathtaking weddings. Lucy’s work is exquisite, featuring locally sourced British flowers that add romance and depth to every design.

One of my favourite aspects was dressing the head of the aisle in Elmore Court’s ceremony room. From broken arches to clusters of floral meadows, we created a stunning focal point around the venue’s unique aisle table, flanked by statues. The venue’s Gilly Flower installation was another joy to work on, proving that this space can complement any colour palette beautifully.

I couldn’t reflect on 2024 without mentioning my work at Heckfield Place, where I helped create a stunning Christmas installation for Kitty Grayson Flowers and Catkins Florals. Using dried and natural materials such as moss, teasels, hops, and branches, we crafted an organic and enchanting festive display. I adore working at this luxurious hotel, which is deeply committed to sustainability and working in harmony with nature.
